Technical and Historical Notes

GW-9900's were fairly common during the Seventh Space War, but, after the
confrontation between the (Old) Earth Federation and the Space Revolutionary
Army ,these units are very rarely seen. Only one unit has been confirmed in
existance since AW0001, and that is the Gundam Airmaster belonging to Witz Sou,
a Mercenary pilot working for the Vulture ship Freeden.
During a battle with the New Federations Gadeel (NRMA-006) Mobile Armors,
Witz Sou's Unit was severly damaged, leaving most of it's frame intact, but
shattering it's armor. Since the damaged had occurred as a result of the
Freeden's defense of the Kingdom of Estardo, the General in charge of the
Estardo Military offered to help repair the unit.
Working side by side withe the Freeden's mobile suit mechanics, headed by Kid
Salsamille, Estardo personnel not only repaired the Airmaster, but upgraded it
as well.
The resultant Airmaster Burst Gundam (GW-9800-B) had a drastic increase in
firepower, armor and appearance. The new unit was also repainted from the
traditional red/white to a newer blue/white pattern. Although the Airmaster
Burst was heavier than it's predecessor had been, the addition of several
additional jets and thrusters meant that there was no loss in speed or
maneuverability.
Witz Sou would soon take his rebuilt unit out into combat in defense of the
Freeden, and it's allies, and there it proved to be more than a match for the
new generation of New Federation Mobile Suits and Mobile Armors.

[1]The Head and Hands are small targets , and are difficult to hit.
Therefore, even with a called shot, they are -3 to hit.
[2]Destroying the Head Sensor Unit will disrupt the Gundam Airmaster Burst's
ability to receive radio signals and has a 50% chance of destroying the radar
and laser tracking systems. This will eliminate the bonuses for Strike and
Dodge.
[3]Depleting the MDC of the Main Body will disable the Gundam Airmaster
Burst.
[4]When in Jet Mode, 1/3 of all damage done to the Main Body is transferred
to the Nose.
[5]Destroying the Booster Pods will reduce the Airmaster Bursts Speed to
normal levels. Boosters Pods add the following bonus' +1 to dodge in
Atmosphere, +2 to dodge in space
